Biagio Flora Chiado Apartments, where past and present intertwine in an inspirational space. Located in one of Lisbon's most prestigious neighbourhoods, Chiado, this charming Apart-hotel strikes a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
The name "Biagio Flora" comes from the original owner of the building, an Italian living in Lisbon, that made a name for himself with his incredible toy store - "Bazar Novo Mundo" (New World Market).
The old building was renewed using the latest construction techniques, and the architect in charge of the project was no other than Ricardo Flora, the great-grandson of the Italian toy dealer Biagio Flora.
Here you can appreciate the patina of the wood and antique iron pieces, enjoy the comfort of contemporary design. The beauty of the old tiles, and the reclaimed wood from the original floors, contrast with the Tom Dixons lamps and Jader Almeida pieces.
Buran created a brand that reflected this duality, between the old and the new, the past and the future - a luxury brand that feels like home.
More than 100 years after Biagio Flora launched the famous “Bazar Novo Mundo” toy store, it’s up to his descendants to present Lisbon the Flora Chiado Apartments.
